Names that work in ordinary software,
owned as Chia coins.
NamID is the naming and DNS layer for the Chia ecosystem. A NamID name is a coin you hold in your wallet; its records live in Chia DataLayer; any browser, phone or server resolves it through plain DNS. People see a website, a profile, a call — not the blockchain.
Live today · on Chia testnet11
Namespace auctions and name minting with second-price refunds. Records published to DataLayer and proven on chain. Public resolver: https://namid.net/dns-query, port-53 DNS, https on names via the NamID CA. The resolver answers a name only when a full node confirms its coin is unspent and every DNS record carries a Merkle proof to the root the chain holds. Names, Browser and Messenger apps ship in SageX and ChiaX.
Why NamID wins where others stalled
ENS needs a gateway; Handshake needs a special browser and nobody runs it; most "web3 domains" are a database with a token. NamID resolves through the DNS every device already speaks, proves answers from the chain, and makes every Chia wallet a resolver. One install (a wallet) gives a person a name, a site, an identity and a phone number for the decentralised web.
Business · XCH, no token
Revenue from namespace auctions, registrations and renewals, then from services on names (hosting, credentials, calls and mail). Payments are in XCH; no new token. 100% of auction proceeds go to Web3UTXOS. Adoption and revenue remain to be demonstrated; this is the point of the seed.
18-month plan · what the seed buys
On-chain registrar and name slots so nobody runs NamID — the chain does (a CHIP is in draft). Resolver nodes on three continents, then phones. Credentials module (verifiable credentials on names). Calls and mail between names. Independent audit of the Chialisp. Mainnet launch on evidence, not a date.
Risks we state plainly
The registrar still binds names to stores and answers "does not exist"; the on-chain slots remove that. Auction ranking is operator-assisted until reveals are on chain. Nothing is on mainnet yet. Legal review and IP filings are planned checkpoints. Names and signed records do not prove real-world identity.
People
Mayank Roy (founder, Web3UTXOS) leads with Ankur, Prateek and contributors, building AI-assisted at a pace that shipped the resolver, DataLayer records, https on names and three wallet apps in one quarter. We look for a lead who brings Chia-ecosystem and infrastructure experience, not only capital.
First $50k (3 months): on-chain registrar puzzle and name slots, audit preparation, three resolver nodes, reproducible evidence.
| Engineering (2.5 FTE × 18 months) | $270k |
| Independent Chialisp audit and remediation | $40k |
| Resolver nodes, DataLayer mirrors, infrastructure | $20k |
| Legal, entity, IP filings | $30k |
| Ecosystem, launch, builder pilots | $25k |
| Reserve | $40k |
Could we show you the live system and agree on terms for the first cheque?
Budgets are proposals, not vendor quotes; the first cheque is staged against milestones that are independently reproducible. Work to date is on Chia testnet11 only. This page is not an offer of securities; terms are set with the lead investor.
